March Madness

Last sunrise of March 2015.  Decided to mix some glass into the morning ritual.

Shots from a trip to the coast of Oregon back in 2007.  I believe these were taken in Florence on the river.

Inflatable Pool Chair Meltdown

Mixed emotions about the Blizzard that never came to be.  Whenever the weathermen talk about massive snowstorms with expectations of 18-24″ it’s hard not to get a little excited along with the dread of thinking of the cleanup so I was mostly happy but a bit dissapointed when I woke up to a couple of inches and no more snow coming down. But….I’ll take it considering my back could use a break from the shoveling and roof raking and I don’t even want to think about the possible flooding in a month or so.  Ahhh, water.  I love it when it’s not on my roof or in my basement.   So, this is a shot I took over a decade ago with my old 35mm Canon EOS Rebel XS that my Dad had gotten me while I was in college.  Thanks Dad. 🙂  This was a reflection near sunset of two inflatable pool chairs and a white EZ up tent that were on a dock that I noticed while swimming.  To me it looks like colors melting together.

Man, I missed a spectacular sunrise this morning due to not just getting up and going but rather relying on the weatherman who mislead me to believe there wouldn’t be a good one. At least there are others who made it and posted their shots.  This is another local photographer who just went or was better informed than myself and he got some great shots.  Benjamin Williamson:   I guess I need to make my frequency of just going no matter what more of a constant.  Light, color, sound, waves, ripples are all about frequency and so far I’ve managed to post something every day this year except for one I believe which is a pretty regular frequency.  And I’m happy that some of you reading this now have been checking out my posts with frequency.  I have been checking out all who visit.   Thank you.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.
There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.
